winnnTOP POSTER MAKERS - Being able to artistically place conservation ideas in poster form garnered four Carr Elementary first graders honors and money recently. Joan Jackson and Annell Goodwin from the Fulton County Conservation District visited the school to present the awards to the four students from Cynthia Brown’s classroom. The students included Tyler Webster, first place; Emily Cochran, second place; Daegan Butler, tie, third place; and Cambria Walker, tie, third place. Brown also received a gift certificate for her students’ success. The quartet created the posters for a recent conservation contest. Webster’s winning design stated that saving trees saved lives since trees help create oxygen.
