When REVSING a writing piece, use the ARMS acrostic to guide you!

A ADD - Ideas, Details, Elaboration, Sensory Images, Figurative Langauge, Adjectives

R REMOVE - Irrelevant ideas, incoherent sentences, vaugue or unclear terms, picture killers: nice, fun, cool, go, get, went, stuff

M MOVE - Organize each paragraph by adding a strong topic sentence, supporting sentences, and a concluding sentence; move any setneces that are not in correct paragraph

S SUBSTITUTE - Change any vague or unclear word (stuff, thing, etc.) to precise and specific language; use concrete nouns and descriptive adjectives
