Week of February 26th-March 2nd

What a week it's been....I know the kids may be a little weary right now, but we are still going full force here at school.  About this time of the year, I see the kids getting tired of the dreary days, and they want sunshine and outside play.  I am trying hard to help them have as much fun while learning here at school.

They have really been enjoying our math unit on measurement.  We are continuing on with this skill next week.  In Reading, we are on the story The First Tortilla.  In Social Studies, we transitioned from the study of presidents to a study on the states.  We will be writing a letter to President Trump this week, though.  I look forward to reading those.

Reminder- The upcoming week is Read Across America week.  Please encourage your child to read nightly!  Also, a flyer was sent home announcing the activities our school will be hosting.  Each day they can dress up as a certain character for the theme of the day.  I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.
