Wellness Plan Public Form

3rd Facilities Planning Meeting to be Held January 3

The Fulton Independent School Facilities Local Planning Committee (LPC) will conduct a public meeting on January 3, 2019 at 3:30 PM at the Fulton Independent Board Office in the Board Room, 304 West State Line, Fulton, KY 42041. This is the third in a series of meetings to develop a District Facilities Plan for Fulton Independent Schools. The public is welcome and invited to this series of meetings.

Local Planning Committee Meetings Scheduled

The Fulton Independent Schools’ Facilities Local Planning Committee (LPC) will conduct a public meeting and forum on December 20, 2018 at 5:30 PM CST at the Fulton Independent Board Office in the Board room, 304 West State Line, Fulton, KY 42041. The LPC will conduct a second public meeting and forum on December 27, 2018 at 5:30 PM CST at the Fulton Independent Board Office in the Board room, 304 West State Line, Fulton, KY 42041. The public forums will begin immediately following the conclusion of the LPC meeting each night. The public is welcome and invited to this series of meetings and forums.

DELAYED SCHEDULE - Classes will be back in session at FIS on a delayed schedule Thursday, January 18. School will begin at 9 a.m. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m.

Preschool will be in session as well Thursday, January 18. Morning class will have a shortened schedule - 9 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.; the afternoon class will meet for the regular time. There will be no bus so parents will have to transport the students to preschool and pick them up at dismissal.

The Grow Festival set for Thursday afternoon has been cancelled.

All Fulton Independent School students WILL return to class on Friday, March 7.

Time changes this weekend


According to FIS Athletic Director Chad Malray, due to lingering weather issues, the first round games for the Girls Regional Basketball Tournament have now been pushed back to Friday. The Fulton High School Lady Bulldogs will face Paducah Tilghman at 6 p.m. Friday at the CFSB Center on the Murray State University campus. Tickets may be purchased at FHS from noon until 2 p.m. Thursday and during school hours on Friday. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students. Students will have to pay $7 at Murray State if they do not purchase tickets through FHS. 

Friday night's Bandstand performance has been cancelled at FHS. There will still be two performances, though - one is slated for 6 p.m. Saturday while another will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday. Both will be staged in the FHS Commons. Tickets are $15 for adults ant $10 for students in 6th grade and below. The tickets include the show and a chili and hotdog meal. Tickets may be purchased from any choir member or by calling Mrs. Butner at FHS.

Fulton Independent School District is running on regular time this morning, Thursday, January 9th. If conditions change, you will be notified by the One Call Now system. The system frequently uses an 866 number, so be on alert if this number tries to reach you.

Free transportation provided

Due to the cold temperatures, Fulton Independent will provide transportation for any student to and from school on Tuesday, January 7. Please contact the Fulton County Transit at 472-0662 to make arrangements should your child require this service.
