REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE – Seniors at Fulton City High School had the opportunity prior to Fall Break to participate in a mock interview with
area professionals. The students were given 30 minutes to spend time with the adults for the interview process and post interview consultations. The adults offered the students tips, techniques and advice following their interviews in an effort to improve their interview skills for real world use. Coach Mike Thomas, the FIS Community Education Director, organized the event. Professionals participating in the event included Pete Morgan, Fulton County PVA; Gina Hampton, local cosmetologist and Miss America makeup professional; Mike Spissinger, WPSD-TV6 Chief Photographer; Debbie Vaughn, Fulton Housing Authority Occupancy Coordinator; Sara Townsend, Fulton Independent’s Director of Special Education; and Deanna Miller, FIS’ DPP Supervisor of Instruction. Members of the junior class helped with the logistics of the event in an effort to make them familiar with it when they participate next year.
