Teams post big victories

 

Two Fulton Independent School athletic teams posted big wins last week. The FHS Volleyball Team went 3-0 this past week bringing their record up to 12-3. The team defeated Hickman County, Fulton County, and St. Mary. The team plays at Fulton County Tuesday night and then will host Murray Thursday night.

The FMS Football Team picked up their first win last Tuesday. They defeated Fulton County 3-12. The team travels to Reidland Tuesday night.

Two recent FHS alumni had big action on the field and court last week as well. Jacquise Lockett, a former FHS football player, led Kentucky State University to a 38-17 win over Central State. Lockett had 15 carries for 240 yards. He also scored three touchdowns – a 78 yard run, a 1 yard run and a 51 yard run.

Melissa Mora, a freshman volleyballer at Mid-Continent University and a former Lady Bulldog, saw match action this week against Brescia College. Mora had three blocks during her time on the court. Mid-Continent is off to a 5-2 start this season.
