SNOWY LEARNING - Tammy Malray, a second grade teacher at Carr Elementary School, used Tuesday morning's frozen precipitation as a learning tool for her students. The second graders bundled up and went outside armed with black pieces of construction paper in order to catch snowflakes to observe. Malray discussed a bit of the science behind the weather activity after asking the students to tell her what they knew about snow and observed from the snowflakes on their paper.
