COMPETITION RESULTS - Dyersburg State Community College recently hosted its annual Spanish Feria on the Dyersburg campus. The Feria has become one of the capstone events for area high school students taking Spanish language and culture courses. Students from area high schools competed in areas as diverse as crafts, cooking, dictation and poetry.
This year, eight schools from Kentucky, Missouri and Tennessee participated with about 450 students present. Fulton City High School took 30 students to the Spanish Feria. The event included a full day of competitions, a Spanish movie, and an opportunity to explore the community college campus.
Results from FHS competitions are as follows:

Spanish 2 Conversation – Anyia Jones, Alyia Ridenour, Amari Downing, Janae Martin and Jenise Ware, first place
Ojos de Dios Artwork – Hallie Carter, first place; Caroline Rushing, second place
Food Appetizer – Zakira Donald, second place
Food Main Dish – KeShawn Murphy, third place
