Signing letter of intent

CONTINUING TO PLAY - A Fulton City High School athlete will continue to play on a volleyball court when she enters college next fall. Autumn Tucker, the daughter of Tracy and Donnie Tibbs, inked a National Letter of Intent Friday afternoon to continue her volleyball career at Lindenwood University in Belleville, Illinois. The signing took place in the the school's library.

According to Coach Chad Malray, Tucker has been a five year starter for the Lady Bulldogs and an All-District team member for each of those five seasons. She also received All-Region honors as a sophomore. Tucker has been a part of three district championship teams and a district runner-up team. The current senior finished her career at Fulton City with school records in career assists, assists in a season, assists per set, assists in a match, digs for a career, serving percentage in a season, and serving percentage for a career.

Lindenwood, coached by Chris Phillips, is a NAIA school and a member of the American Midwest Conference. The AMC is also home to Park University and Columbia College. Park and Columbia finished the 2016 season ranked number four and number eight in the NAIA nationwide. The Lynx finished the 2016 season with an 18-12 record, 9-3 in conference, and hosted an AMC conference tournament match.

Taking part in the signing were Tucker's parents and Coach Malray.
