Grow Fest

Grow Fest projectHELPING THEM GROW - Fulton Independent Preschool Head Start  - in conjunction with TheGrow Fest Participants Family Connection, the Four Rivers Community Early Childhood Council and Fulton County Extension - held their annual community Grow Fest Thursday, February 8, in the Carr Elementary Gym. The Grow Fest is held to promote school readiness for children aged birth to five. This year’s Grow Fest was focused around the area of Valentine’s Day STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math). Participants were able to take part  in hands on activities including baking soda volcano hearts, making slime, crayon resist painting and building candy heart towers. Children were also able to explore a farm animal petting zoo and a book walk outside. All participants received books through the Fulton Book Start grant and CECC, made trail mix, and received a Grow Bag with learning materials. Twenty-six children and their families from Fulton participated in the event.
