TOP TEACHER - Melissa Trice-Martin, a teacher at Fulton Middle School, was named Educator of the Year during the annual banquet and awards ceremonies for the Twin Cities Chamber of Commerce.
“Mrs. Truce-Martin’s ability to motivate and engage students in learning is evident and I am so pleased that her dedication was publically recognized last night,” said Dr. DeAnna Miller, Fulton Independent Superintendent.
Jennifer Cothran, a third grade teacher at Carr Elementary School, and Joey Dublin, a teacher at Fulton City High School, were also nominated for the prestigious award.
Trice-Martin said she was “Amazed by Grace” and humbled to receive the award.
“It was such an honor to be nominated with Joey Dublin and Jennifer Cothran,” Trice-Martin added. “I share this award with them as they are a part of a greater agenda to ignite the flame of learning. Thanks to all for the affirmations and kind words. We are Bulldogs because we are a team.”
