The Lady Bulldogs pulled off a “three-peat” Thursday night in Hickman.
For the third year in a row, the team won the district volleyball championship by defeating Hickman County three sets to zero (25-13, 26-16, 25-16).
“This marks the fifth time in the 12 years of the program we have won the district championship,” said Head Coach Chad Malray. “We have also finished runner-up five times. We have played for the district championship 10 out of the 12 years.”
The five years that the Lady Bulldogs have won the district championship include 2005, 2007, 2011, 2012, 2013.
Hannah Grooms, Mary Kathryn Miller, and Autumn Tucker were named to the All-District Team.
The Lady Bulldogs will advance to the Region Tournament which is being held at Ballard Memorial High School next week. The team will play CCA at 6 Tuesday night.
