The Fulton City Middle School Sports Banquet was held on Tuesday, April 29, in the Fulton High School Commons. Following a barbecue dinner, various awards were presented.

Cheerleading Coach Ashley Grissom presented awards to the squad first. After recognizing the entire squad and presenting them with certificates, Jenise Ware was presented the Leadership Award. Cheerleaders include Aminah Bernacki, Zakira Donald, Amari Downing, Jamila Hagler, Arianna Jacobsen, Fratecia Mays, Mercedes Taylor, Janise Ware and Taniah Wilson.  Katie Lane is the assistant cheerleading coach.

Coach Mike Thomas handed out the football awards next. They included:

Leadership Offense – Cameron Madding

Leadership Defense – Brandon Rushing

Most Improved Wide Receiver – Brennen Walker

Down in the Trenches Certificates – Jakiran Donald, Joey Fisette, Hunter Leeman,  Keith Martin, Keshawn Murphy, Marvin Noonan, Cam Ron Pettigrew, Isaac Pirtle

110% Awards – Joey Fisette, Sam Gibbs, Isaac Pirtle

Most Improved Lineman – Hunter Leeman

Best Offensive Lineman – Keshawn Murphy

Best Defensive Lineman – Cam Ron Pettigrew

Most Improved Overall – Demarco Joy

Mr. Crackback – Drew Malray

Coach’s Award – Gabe Harned

Player of the Year Offense – Tyler Bishop

Player of the Year Defense – Tyris Fountain

Team assistant coaches include Kevin Byrd and Mark Paitsel. Team members include Tyler Bishop, Joe Cunningham, Jakiran Donald, Joey Fisette, Tyris Fountain, Sam Gibbs, Gabe Harned, Demarco Joy, Hunter Leeman, Cameron Madding, Drew Malray, Keith Martin, Keshawn Murphy, Parker Newport (team statistician), Marvin Noonan, Ke Andre Patton, Cam Ron Pettigrew, Isaac Pirtle, Brandon Rushing, Brennen Walker and Levi Wilson.

Coach Christie Atwill presented the girls basketball awards next. The awards included:

Best Freethrow – Hailey Baggett

Lady Bulldog Heart Award – Cayla Holdman

Most Improved – Anyia Jones

Hustle Award – Fratecia Mayes

Academic Awards – Hailey Baggett, Anyia Jones

Erica Duke is the assistant coach of the team. Coach Daniel Farmer presented the boys basketball awards to end the evening. They included:

Most Improved – Brennan Walker

110 Percent Award – Jon David McClanahan

Academic Award – Nick Lucy

Team MVP – Tyler Bishop

Leadership Awards – Tyler Bishop, Demarco Joy, KeShawn Murphy

Farmer also presented the awards that were voted on by the team. They included:

Fifth Grade MVP – Cade Malray

Sixth Grade MVP – Cameron Madding

Seventh Grade MVP – Drew Malray

Eighth Grade MVP – Tyler Bishop

Most Influential Players – Tyler Bishop, Jaron Pryor

Most Heart & Desire – Jon David McClanahan

Best All Around Attitude – Cameron Madding
