Judge, two attorneys discuss importance of education

Fulton County Circuit Judge Tim Langford, Attorney Allison Whitledge, and Attorney Rick Major recently visited Carr Elementary School as part of September’s Career Month. All three presented informative speeches about the job duties of their careers and spoke of the directions someone needs to take in order to get there.

Mrs. Whitledge mentioned she was a Fulton City graduate. Mrs. Whitledge talked of the pride she had in Fulton and how she always wanted to come back to Fulton to work. She encouraged everyone to stay in school and make good choices.

Mr. Major gave an entertaining speech about his past careers. He spoke of being a delivery man for Sears. He also spoke about his seven-year-old son being a Bulldog because he plays football on the SACK football team.

Judge Langford spoke about knowing he wanted to be a judge when he was in third grade. He encouraged everyone to stay in school and do their best. He told the students they can accomplish anything they set their mind to. He also invited them to visit the Fulton County Courthouse. He said it would make for an interesting field trip.
