Gearing up for new program

NEW PROGRAM STARTING - Information went home Wednesday afternoon with Fulton Independent School’s second through seventh graders about a new program being offered beginning this summer. Carr Elementary School will be able to operate an after-school 21st Century Learning Centers program. This program will serve students enrolled in grades 3 through 8 during the 2013-2014 school year. The after-school program will begin operations in August. Students may participate in the after-school program at no cost to their families. There will also be two camps this summer through the 21st CCLC program. FIS students who were in second grade through seventh grade during the 2012-2013 school year may attend one or both of the camps at no cost to their families. Each camp will be held on the Carr campus and feature fun and learning activities pertaining to science, technology and the arts. Breakfast and lunch will also be served to your child each day. Enrollment forms should be returned to the students' teachers by May 15. All summer camps are funded with federal 21st CCLC funds.
