CAMP PREPARATIONS - Final plans are currently under way for the 21st Century Community Learning Center hosted summer camp sessions. Held at Carr Elementary School, the free camps will feature fun activities for FIS students who recently completed the second through seventh grades. The first week - slated for June 24 through June 27 - will feature science and technology activities. Campers will complete several hands-on projects and even become a designer/pilot for one of them. The second week of camp, which is set for July 15 through July 18, will have more of an artsy feel to it as campers will create a museum of sorts for the elementary school. Camp sessions will be held from 8 a.m. until noon daily. Campers will eat breakfast and lunch while on campus. Those parents of FIS students who have completed second through sevnth grades and have not signed up their children for summer camps may do so by calling Kim Jobe, 21st CCLC project director, directly at 662-396-1413.
